realneatblogaward (1)

Hey Everyone!

I’ve been nominated for another blogger award 🙂 A huge thank you to Lara @ The Heathen for nominating me for this award!

Rules

  • Thank and link the blogger that nominated you.
  • Answer the 7 questions that the nomination has provided you.
  • Create 7 questions for your nominees.
  • Nominate 7 other bloggers.

Questions:

1. Coffee or Tea?

I definitely prefer tea. I can’t stand the bitter taste of coffee.

2. Laptop or Smartphone?

It really depends. I prefer using my laptop for writing, whether it be my blog posts or the books that I am working on. I don’t really use my phone often since I have a tablet which I use for a large amount of things.

3. Hot or Cold?

Um, I’m assuming that we are talking about weather in this case. I prefer cold weather most of the time. I do like the occasional hot day because I do like going to the beach or pool but I prefer cold days because I love being able to snuggle up with a blanket and a cup of tea as I read.

4. Short or Long?

Hmm, these questions are kind of vague. I’m guessing this is about hair or something like that. This question is probably really obvious but I’m not feeling well so nothing is really making sense at the moment. If this is about hair then I would say short.

5. Apple or Orange?

Definitely apples. I recently got my braces off in June and after three years of not being able to eat apples, they are definitely my favourite fruit at the moment.

My Questions:

  1. What is your favourite book from 2016?
  2. Do you prefer paperback or hardcover books?
  3. How long have you been blogging for?
  4. What is your favourite genre?
  5. E-books or physical books
  6. Where is your favourite place to read?
  7. Fantasy or contemporary books?

I Nominate the Following:

  1. Hit or Miss Books
  2. Inked in Pages
  3. Fire to the Poppies
  4. Picnic Reads
  5. Book Nerd Momo
  6. Once Upon a Book Shelf
  7. The Bookish Lounge

Thank you for reading this post! I hope you are all having a wonderful week and I will talk to you all next week.

Draekora Cover Reveal Competition Entry

Hey Everyone!

Today I’m doing a post which is a bit different to what I usually post. If you have been following me for a while, you may know that Akarnae is one of my absolute favourite books and that Lynette Noni is one of my favourite authors. Over at Pantera Press, they are doing a special Draekora cover reveal competition. Since I absolutely love this series, I knew that I had to enter!

draekora_cover_reveal_comp

I really love The Medoran Chronicles. A couple of my favourite things about this series that sets it apart is the inclusion of a magical library (who doesn’t love that!), the world which Lynette created and the wonderful friendship that Alex and her friends have. I love reading the adventures that they have together and in a way, they kind of remind me of my own friends.

I am so excited for Draekora! In all honesty, I have no idea on what to expect but I’m glad I have no idea. Not knowing what is going to happen next in a book adds to the magic of reading a book. All I really know is that I’m sure it’s going to be a truly wonderful and exciting read! On the cover, I feel like it may be purple or orange. I don’t know why I think it will be either of these but I reckon it would look incredible if it were these colours!

Thank you so much for giving us this amazing opportunity! Being able to share the cover of Draekora and receiving a signed copy of Draekora would honestly be a dream come true!

So, that’s my post for the day. If you haven’t read Akarnae, I definitely recommend that you read it asap. It is truly a wonderful book!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week and I shall talk to you all on my next post 🙂

Waiting on Wednesday #17

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by  Jill from Breaking The Spine that shows the upcoming books that many of us are anticipating! This week, I’m waiting for…

Title: The Sun Is Also a Star 28763485

Author: Nicola Yoon

Publisher: Delacorte Press

Publication Date: 1st of November 2016

Synopsis:

Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story.

Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store—for both of us.

The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?

Sunshine Blogger Award 2.0

sunshine2

I’ve been nominated for another blogger award! A huge thank you to Lara over @The Heathens for nominating me! It means a lot to me that you have nominated me for multiple awards 🙂

Here are the rules,

RULES:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you.
  2. Answer 11 questions set by the person who nominated you.
  3. Nominate 11 bloggers to receive the award and write them 11 new questions to answer.

 Questions:

  1. How many books have you read this year?

As of the 22nd of September, I have read a total of 55 books. I have read maybe a dozen novellas but I don’t count those books when it comes to the amount of books that I have read.

  2. What is your favourite genre of books?

I love fantasy. It is kind of funny that when I was younger, my favourite genre was non-fiction. My love of fantasy grew around the time I was 15 when I was going through a difficult time. I would love being able to escape this world and to enter another. To this day, this is still one of the main reasons I love fantasy

  3. What’s your favourite past time apart from blogging?

Reading of course. Other than that, I love singing in my free time even though I can’t sing to save my life.

  4. Who is your one true book love?

Peeta Mellark. I remember reading The Hunger Games back in 2013 and falling in love with his character. Three years later and I still love him 🙂

  5. What was the last movie you watched?

Hmm.. I’m trying to remember. As you can tell, I don’t tend to watch a lot of movies.

  6. What was the last book you bought?

The last book I brought was Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas. I brought the book last Friday and I have already finished it and oh my gosh that book was so good and heart breaking. I need the next book ASAP!!!!

  7. How often do you blog?

I try to post a couple of times a week but there are times where I will only post once a day. Being in college, my life can be hectic at times so it is hard to keep a schedule to post. Most of the time I try to post whenever I can whether it be once or five times a week. However, once my summer holidays begin at the end of November, I will try to keep a schedule when it comes to blogging.

  8. Do people in your real world know that you’re a blogger?

They don’t exactly know that I am a blogger. They know that I review books mainly because I’m always talking about the books I get in the mail and how exciting it is and they know I have a website where I post the reviews. They just don’t know the extent of what I do and the amount of social media sites I have.

  9. Do you hate the words blog and blogger?

I do and I don’t. I do love blogging and it has had a wonderful impact on my life but due to certain bloggers, I do feel like in general, being a blogger has been associated with being a negative thing unfortunately. Because of this, I don’t always love calling myself a blogger because of these people.

  10. What’s your favourite curse word?

I don’t swear. Growing up, swearing is something that honestly scared me and to this day I refuse to utter an sort of swear word or curse. Most people would probably think that it might be odd that someone who is nearly eighteen has not cursed once in her life but trust me when I say that I have good reasons.

  11. What’s your average reading time?

It really depends on the book. Sometimes it can take my a couple of hours to finish a book while another book might take me three weeks to finish. It really depends on what the book is about, the length, whether I am enjoying it or not and what I am reading it for (school or recreational)
